CNN Student News is a 10-minute, commercial-free news program that airs on CNN Headline News. Created by a team of journalists and educators, the program provides the top stories of the day, segments that encourage student participation, and in-depth special reports. In addition, CNN Student News provides free curriculum to accompany each program's content.

Newseum
If you're curious about what's in the headlines of the newspapers in other states or 52 nations, see the Newseum website. They have the front pages of almost 600 papers. There is a fun and games section for kids. So far there is only one lesson plan in the educational section, but that can be expected to expand in time.

TIME For Kids
A weekly classroom news magazine that motivates kids to read! Issues cover a wide range of real-world topics kids love to learn about - and it's the best nonfiction text you'll find! Virginian-Pilot
The Virginian-Pilot provides newspapers, online resources, and innovative curriculum materials to schools in the greater Hampton Roads area. We're committed to the belief that NEWS is a dynamic tool for energizing classrooms, engaging students, increasing cultural awareness, and essential for encouraging critical thinking skills. The program is a powerful tool for promoting literacy, while also creating involved and informed citizens. Our mission is to partner with teachers and administrators in providing classroom access to news for every student in the greater Hampton Roads area.
