Inflation Nation
Virginia's largest indoor inflatable playground is having Homeschool Days on the second and fourth Thursdays, 12:00-3:00 pm. Admission for children between ages 1-4 is $3.00 and 5 and over is $5.00. Adults are complimentary and encouraged to bounce with their children.
Age: 1-Up

Richmond
The Playroom
With schools offering P.E. only 45 minutes a week, consider a membership to The Playroom as your child's own gym. Being a member at The Playroom means making visits a part of your child's regular routine. We give your child a means of staying fit & burning off all that great energy, a reward for being brave at the doctor's, a place to meet up with playgroup outside your home. The Playroom offers half-price admission (just $3) on the 2nd Friday of each month to homeschoolers.

Online Resources
Cancer-Fighting Video Game
If you know an older child fighting cancer, let the family know about the video game called "Re-Mission." In addition to educational elements, it helps young patients by letting them fight back in a concrete and diverting way. A doctor needs to request a free copy from Cigna.
Grades: 6-12

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention BAM!
BAM! Body and Mind is a resource for you to incorporate CDC health, safety, and science topics into your classroom. The site also offers your students interactive content to investigate topics.
Age: 9-13

GetBodySmart
An online examination of human anatomy and physiology using interactive "Flash" animations created by Scott Sheffield based on 21 years of teaching this material at the university level. Current topics include: Skeletel System, Muscle Tissue Physiology, Muscular System, Nervous System, Circulatory System, Respiratory System, Urinary System, and Histology. Includes interactive tutorials and quizzes.
Grades: 6-12

Human Anatomy Online
Welcome to inner exploration of Human Anatomy. Each topic has animations, 100’s of graphics, and thousands of descriptive links. Study the anatomy of the human body. It’s fun, interactive, and an ideal reference site for students or those who just want to know more about the medical descriptions used by doctors and nurses.
Grades: 6-12

Jolly Green Giant
Learn about the food groups and what your body needs to stay healthy.
Grades: 1-6

Learn CPR
Learn CPR is a free public service supported by the University of Washington School of Medicine. Learn the basics of CPR - cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Grades: 1-12

MyPyramid
The USDA offers a variety of activities and resources for children to learn about the food pyramid and for all people to regulate their diet.
Grades: 1-12

PEC: Health and Physical Education Lesson Plans
PE Central's database includes health and physical education lesson and assessment ideas! You will find over 1500 ideas submitted by 1000 professionals!
Grades: K-12

President's Challenge
The President's Challenge is a program that encourages all Americans to make being active part of their everyday lives. No matter what your activity and fitness level, the President's Challenge can help motivate you to improve.

The Story of Stuff
From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a look at our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world.
