This is How it Goes
Formerly high-school sweethearts, Belinda and Cody Phipps appear to be the typical middle-class, interracial success story. When another classmate returns to town, their seemingly amicable reunion devolves into a triangle of bigotry and betrayal. Staged on continually shifting moral ground that challenges our notions about gender, ethnicity, and even love itself, This Is How It Goes unblinkingly explores the myriad ways in which the wild card of race is played by both black and white in America.

The Importance of Being Earnest
Set in 1890’s England, the play traces the courtship of two couples: two dapper young men set out to woo two beautiful young women. By a perfectly unlikely coincidence, both men use the pseudonym Earnest when not in London, and the women are fixated on marrying only an Earnest. The confusion and obstacles accumulate in a flurry of brilliantly witty dialogue, and the whole dilemma is resolved only by a final coincidence that is as unlikely as it is delightful.

Spelling Bee
This tuneful, offbeat Tony Award-winning musical is a bonafide crowd pleaser that's chock-full of overachievers' angst, bizarre and multi-syllabic words, romance and cliff hanging suspense! The tension is palpable, the excitement is mounting and the heady scent of competition is in the air as six deliciously geeky, philologically industrious young students from across the county take part in what is undoubtedly one of the greatest events of their lives - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Suggested for ages 15 and up.

Bus Stop
In a roadside diner in a snowed in Kansas town, eight castaways spend a warm winter’s night in this American classic, which starred Marilyn Monroe in its legendary film adaptation. Cherie is a sweet saloon singer, pursued by Bo, a naive young rancher stud who fell hard for her at a cowboy bar back in Arizona. The hearty laughs and gentle drama of Bus Stop remind us why Pulitzer Prize-winner Inge once enjoyed his day as Broadway’s most popular playwright.
